'''ઓમકારેશ્વર''' હિંદુ દેવ [[શિવ]] ને સમર્પિત એક [[મંદિર]] છે. ભગવાન શિવના ૧૨ જ્યોતિર્લિંગમાંનું આ એક છે. આ મંદિર માંધત કે શિવપુરી નામના નર્મદા નદીના એક ટાપુ પર આવેલું છે. કહેવાય છે કે આ ટાપુનો આકર ॐ જેવો છે.
 
અહીં બે મંદિરો આવેલા છે ઓમકારેશ્વર (ઓમકારના ભગવાન)અને અમરેશ્વર (અમર દેવોના ભગવાન). પણ દ્વાશ જ્યોતિર્લિંગના શ્લોક અનુસાર, ,મામલેશ્વર જ્યોતિર્લિંગ છે જે નર્મદા નદીની પેલે પાર અવેલું છે.
There are two temples here, one to Omkareshwar (whose name means "Lord of '''Omkaara''' or the Lord of the '''Om''' Sound") and one to Amareshwar (whose name means "Immortal lord" or "lord of the Immortals or Devas").
 
But as per the sloka on dwadash jyotirligam, Mamleshwar is the jyotirling, which is on other side of Narmada river.
