==પાછલા વર્ષોમાં==
ઇ.સ્. ૧૯૪૮માં કૃષ્ણકુમારસિંહજી મદ્રાસના પ્રથમ ભારતીય રાજ્યપાલ બનવાનુ બહુમાન મેળવ્યું. એજ વર્ષે એમને રોયલ ભારતિય નૌકાદળના માનદ કમાંડર પણ બનાવાયા. ભાવનગરમાં આવેલ નંદકુંવરબા ક્ષત્રિય કન્યા વિદ્યાલયના પ્રમુખ તરિકે અને યુનાઇટેડ સર્વિસીઝ ઈંસ્ટિટ્યુટ ઑફ ઈંડીયાના વાઈસ-પેટ્રન તરિકે પણ કાર્ય કર્યુ. ૨ એપ્રિલ ૧૯૬૫ના દિવસે ૫૨ વર્ષની ઊંમરે અને ૪૬ વર્ષના શાસનકાળ પછી એમનું ભાવનગર માં જ અવસાન થયુ.
In 1948, Kumarsinhji became the first Indian [[Governor of Madras]], serving until 1952. Also, in that year Kumarsinhji was made an honorary [[Commodore (rank)|Commodore]] in the [[Royal Indian Navy]]. From 1948 until 1952, Kumarsinhji also served as the President of the Shree Nandkunverba Kshatriya Kanya Vidhyalaya and as Vice-Patron of the United Service Institution of India. Krishna Kumarsinhji Bhavsinhji died at Bhavnagar on 2 April 1965, aged 52 after a reign of 46 years . He was succeeded as Maharaja of Bhavnagar by his eldest son, [[Virbhadrasinhji Krishna Kumarsinhji]].
