રવાંડા: આવૃત્તિઓ વચ્ચેનો તફાવત

અહીંની સરેરાશ વસ્તી યુવાન છે અને આફ્રિકામાં સુૌથી વધુ વસ્તી ગીચતા આ દેશમાં છે. રવાંડાના લોકો બન્યા રવાંડા નામના એકજ કુળના હોય છે, તે ના હુતુ, તુત્સી અને ત્વા એવા ત્રણ પેટા વિભાગ પડે છે. ત્વા જાતિના લોકો રવંડાના સૌથી પ્રાચીન રહેવાસીઓન વંશજો છે, તેઓ જંગલમાં રહેનારા પિગ્મી લોકો છે. હુતુ અને તુત્સી જાતિના મૂળ અને ભિન્નતા સંબંધે વિદ્વાઓ મતભેદ ધરાવે છે; અમુક લોકો માને છે આ અક્જ કુળના લોકોની સામ્,આજિમ સ્તરે ભિન્ન વર્ગો છે , જ્યારે અમુક લોકો માને છે કે હુતુ અને તુત્સી લોકો આ દેશમાં ભિન્ન સ્થળેથી આવી વસ્યા છે. અહીંનો મુખ્ય ધર્મ ખ્રિસ્તી છે. અહીંની મુખ્ય અભાષા કીન્યા રવાંડા છે જે મોટા ભાગના લોકો બોલે છે. અંગેજી અને ફ્રેંચ અહીંની સત્તાવાર ભાષાઓ છે. રવાંડા પ્રમુઝશાહી રાજ પદ્ધતિ ધરાવે છે. સંસથાન કાળથી રવાંડાનો વહેવટ કડક વ્યવસ્થા હેઠળ ચાલે છે; ૨૦૦૬થી આ દેશને પાંચ વહીવટી ક્ષેત્રો કે રાજ્યોમાં વહેંચવામાં આવ્યો છે. રવાંડા બે દેશઓમાંનો એક છે જેની સંસદમાં સ્ત્રીઓની સંખ્યા પુરુષો કરતા વધુ છે.

The population coalesced first into [[Clans of Rwanda|clans]] and then into kingdoms. The [[Kingdom of Rwanda]] dominated from the mid-eighteenth century, with the Tutsi kings conquering others militarily, centralising power and later enacting anti-Hutu policies. [[German colonial empire|Germany]] colonised Rwanda in 1884 as part of [[German East Africa]], followed by [[Belgian colonial empire|Belgium]], which invaded in 1916 during [[World War I]]. Both European nations ruled through the kings and perpetuated a pro-Tutsi policy. The Hutu population [[Rwandan Revolution|revolted]] in 1959. They massacred numerous Tutsi and ultimately established an independent, Hutu-dominated state in 1962. Following [[1973 Rwandan coup d'état|a military coup]], [[President of Rwanda|President]] [[Juvénal Habyarimana]] established a [[one-party]] [[totalitarian dictatorship]] in Rwanda and ruled for the next 21 years. The Tutsi-led [[Rwandan Patriotic Front]] launched a [[Rwandan Civil War|civil war]] in 1990. Social tensions erupted in the [[Rwandan Genocide|1994 genocide]], in which Hutu extremists ([[Hutu power]]) killed an estimated 500,000 to 1.3 million Tutsi and moderate Hutu. The RPF ended the genocide with a military victory.
