'''બરફી'''([[Hindi]]: बर्फ़ी) એ એક ભારતીય ઉપમહાદ્વીપની મિઠાઈ છે. સાદી બરફી માવા માંથી બનેલી હોય છે. તેને સાકર સાથે મેળવીકડક બને ત્યાં સુધી ગરમ કરીને બનાવાય છે બરફીના ઘણાં પ્રકાર છે જેમકે, ''[[બેસન બરફી]]'' , "કાજુ બરફી" અને ''પિસ્તા બરફી'' વિગેરે. આનું નામ બરફ શબ્દ પરથી ઉતરી આવ્યું છે કેમકે સાદી બરફરી દેખાવમાં બરફ જેવી લાગે છે.
 
બરફીને હમેશા લહેજતદાર વસ્તુઓ ઉમેરીને બનવાય છે. જેમકે (આંબા, નારિયેળ કાજુ, પિસ્તા કે એલચી). ઘણી વખ બરફી પર ચાંદીનો વરખ લગાવીને સજાવાય છે. તેમને વોરસ પતંગ કે ગોળાકારે ટુકડા કરીને ખાવાનાઅ ઉપયોગમાં લેવાય છે. ક્યારેક બરફી ચીઝ જેવી લાગે છે આ માટે તેને ભારતીય ચીઝ કેક પણ કહે છે. બરફીના ઘણાં પ્રકાર હોય છે તે પ્રમાણે તેનો સ્વાદ સોડમ, સપાટી પણ બદલાય છે.
Barfi is often flavoured with fruit (such as [[mango]] or [[coconut]]) or nuts (like [[cashew]] and [[pistachio]]) and spices such as [[cardamom]]. They are sometimes served coated with a thin layer of [[Metal leaf#Confection|edible silver leaf]] ([[varak]]). Visually, they are typically cut into square, diamond, or round shapes. They sometimes (but not always) resemble [[cheese]], and may have a hint of cheese scent to it.
