[WikiConference India 2020] Conference & Event Grant proposal

WikiConference India 2020 team is happy to inform you that the Conference & Event Grant proposal for WikiConference India 2020 has been submitted to the Wikimedia Foundation. This is to notify community members that for the last two weeks we have opened the proposal for community review, according to the timeline, post notifying on Indian Wikimedia community mailing list. After receiving feedback from several community members, certain aspects of the proposal and the budget have been changed. However, community members can still continue engage on the talk page, for any suggestions/questions/comments. After going through the proposal + FAQs, if you feel contented, please endorse the proposal at WikiConference_India_2020#Endorsements, along with a rationale for endorsing this project. Iકથાબ ની નોંધણી વિકિપીડિયા:દૂર કરવા વિનંતી પર થયેલી છે એટલે સૌ વિકિમિત્રો તેને રાખવા કે હટાવવા વિશે ચર્ચા કરશે. જો તમે તેની નોંધણીના પાને જઈ અને તમારૂં મંતવ્ય જણાવશો તો અમે તેની યોગ્ય મુલવણી કરી શકીશું. જો તમે આ લેખ કે ચિત્ર બનાવ્યું હોય તો, કૃપયા એ વાસ્તવિકતાની નોંધ લો કે આની દૂર કરવા માટેની નોંધણી થયાનો અર્થ એવો નથી કે અમને તમારા સદ્ભાવપૂર્ણ સહયોગની કદર નથી. તેનો સરળ અર્થ એટલો જ છે કે કોઈ એક વ્યક્તિ એમ માને છે કે આમાં કોઈક ચોક્કસ, જેમ કે પ્રકાશનાધિકાર વગેરે જેવી, સમસ્યા છે. જો આ વિષયનો અન્ય લેખ અહીં હાજર હોવાને કારણે આ લેખ દૂર કરાતો હશે તો, તમારી મહેનત (જેની અમે સૌ ખૂબ જ કદર કરીએ છીએ) એળે નહિ જાય. એનો ઉપસ્થિત લેખમાં યોગ્ય રીતે સમાવેશ કરાશે. સઘળી અવસ્થામાં, કૃપયા આ દૂર કરવાની વિનંતીને અંગતપણે ન લેશો. આ જરાય એવા હેતુપૂર્વક કરેલું નથી. ધન્યવાદ !

2. Add your language projects and organizer list to the meta page before October 29th, 2020.
3. Inform your community members WAM 2020 is coming soon!!!
4. If you want WAM team to share your event information on Facebook / twitter, or you want to share your WAM experience/ achievements on our blog, feel free to send an email to info@asianmonth.wiki or PM us via facebook.

If you want to hold a thematic event that is related to WAM, a.k.a. WAM sub-contest. The process is the same as the language one.

Issue related to ઢાંચો:વિડિયોવિકિ

Hello. I was one among those who attended SWT Workshop, conducted today. I have heard your problem present in the file ઢાંચો:વિડિયોવિકિ. I would like to mention some information regarding that specific template:

1){{PAGENAME}} is a magic word which is used to retrieve the name of the page in the same language in which it is present. Eg: If it is મદદ:Magic words, it will display Magic words when {{PAGENAME}} is invoked.

2)In the case of ઢાંચો:વિડિયોવિકિ, the file is not displaying due to 2 reasons, firstly, the file you are trying to locate is not present either in your wiki or in Wikimedia Commons. Secondly, when you use File:Wikipedia-VideoWiki-Archive3.webm, the SUBPAGENAMEE will actually be replaced by an English word and not by a Gujarati word, so, when invoked in any page, it will not display any image except in pages having files containing Gujarati names.

3)Please refer to the table mentioned here. It actually displays the code and it's output. Please compare {{PAGENAME}} and {{PAGENAMEE}}. I think PAGENAME needs to be used instead of PAGENAMEE.

4)In the template, you have provided a url for data6. Actually, you can remove the url and just mention the name of file which you need to use like File:Wikipedia-VideoWiki-Archive3.webm. This is because, when we try to include an image in a page, it first checks whether the image locally exist and if not, the control will automatically redirect to Wikimedia Commons and will search for the image there. So, we do not need to use url there. I think only for infobox parameter like that of website, you need to provide a url. I think I have made the things clear. I would like to link this file Gu.વિકિપીડિયા-વિડિયોવિકિ-વિક્રમ સારાભાઈ, so it appears like en:Wikipedia:VideoWiki/Vikram Sarabhai as on English wiki. Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible by just invoking the specific template. The reason is: the file names are in English and not in Gujarati. This works fine only in pages where a file exists with the same name of the article. Eg: It will work in સારાભાઈ only if the file Gu.Wikipedia-VideoWiki-સારાભાઈ.webm exists in Gujarati wiki or in Wikimedia Commons. Otherwise, in my knowledge, it's not possible.
