This bot is a part of the tool CampWiz which assists organizers of various edit-a-thon to host, manage campaign, evaluate submissions, publish results (As of now, about 40 campaigns were hosted and 8000+ articles were submitted through this tool). One of its sibling tool helps organizers to generate a list of articles which are not present on their wiki based on topic (As of now, 233636+articles in 150+ lists were harvested). One of our main targets was to reduce the security issue and liability along with privacy issue. As such, this tool uses a single bot account to interact with mediawiki which eliminates the need of storing the user's access token on the server. As of now, the bot would perform the following tasks. In order to prevent spamming, all the edits on user talk pages would be done by batch hourly, rather than immediately.[ઉત્તર]
- trackingTemplate: This bot would add a template (configured by the campaign organizers) on the talk page of an article if it does not already exist, whenever that article is submitted into a campaign.
- notifyEvaluation: This bot would add a message on submitter's talk page if any of his submissions get any evaluation by the judge (including any note that judge left).
- notifyNewSubmission (opt-in only): This bot would add a message containing new submission that were added on the talk page of the user who volunterily consented to have updates.
notifyStatistics (opt-in only): This bot would periodically give statistics update about the campaign the user opted-in. (For future reference)
To demonstrate the functionalities, please look at the edits on mrwiki. All the templates that the bot uses should be localized too. These are:

 તટસ્થ It is not clear what changes does this bot intend to do. Adding note/template on the talkpage etc. is done manually anyways as part of the submission and guidelines on the project page. Moreover, if this bot is going to touch only the competition related pages then I am ok, however, volume of submissions/articles created/edited part of any competition is never too high on this wiki. - @ધવલ: Thank you very much for your question. I would like to answer your concerns below:
- Adding note/template on the talkpage etc. is done manually anyways as part of the submission and guidelines on the project page: If a judge evaluates multiple articles in one go. It would be difficult for him to keep track of the submitters to be notified about the evaluation. Also, in that case, each judge would give notification about each article separately, which would be somewhat duplicate of the same message in participants talk page. Also, when a participant submits multiple articles in a single go, he would need to add tracker templates by himself for each of the articles. This bot would automate both of the things:
- The bot would add the tracker template automatically even if the participant or the submitter did not add or forgot to add.
- The bot would notify the submitter about evaluation in a batch, therefore preventing unnecessary messages. In each hour, the bot would give the submitter/participant only a single message about all the evaluations he got since last hour. The bot would not add any message if that participant did not get any new evaluation. For example, if the participant got 5 new evaluations in the last hour, the traditional manual way would add 5 separate messages from each of the judges. Also, each judge has to track which submitters to notify for which article. But, using the bot, each of the participant would get only a single message listing all the 5 evaluations at once. Also, the jury does not need to track whom to notify about which articles.
- In a way, you are enforcing the guidelines automatically, rather than relying on human editors.
- volume of submissions/articles created/edited part of any competition is never too high on this wiki. So, even if the Bot does changes without bot flag, that won't have any impact: I would answer this in two points:
- It would not be high volume edits if you think each of the submissions individually. But, as I said earlier, the bot would work in batch. Therefore, in each batch, there would be evaluations + tracker templates. So that might flood the recentchanges without the bot flag.
- The bot account come with a right called

I approve this request with caveat that the bot should only do edits on userpages of the users who participated in contest and pages/talk pages of Contest related pages only.
